My Story
Over a number of years I have worked several different jobs that included long haul truck driving, landscaping, bartending, retail, and personal chef.
While working these jobs I learned about the importance of sleep, eating properly and exercising in order to achieve and maintain alertness, reduce irritability, increasing resistance to illness, as well as many other more serious concerns such as increased cholesterol, high blood pressure, abdominal obesity, and diabetes. Having worked some odd shifts in my time and having limited access to healthy choices in food and fitness facilities helped me to realize that the folks that work shifts (healthcare, first responders, laborers, retail, etc.) were some of the folks that I wanted to help.
These experiences led me to what I wanted to do, I wanted to help people live the healthiest lives they could. After trying to get a handle on my own health challenges (weight, and out of shape) and realizing that there is not a one size fits all answer. Not to mention there is not one plan that will be ideal for a non traditional schedule.
So I went back school at the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, CO. I got my diploma as a Nutrition Therapy Practitioner then a couple years later got my diploma as a Master Nutrition Therapist. Most recently in May of 2018 finished my training with Institute for the Psychology of Eating and became a Certified Mind Body Eating Coach.
So here I am at 40 plus years old, finally following the path that I am meant to be on. I look forward to assisting you to find your path to wellness and to accompany you on your journey.
